Moments

Moments...
Are taken for granted
Hard to understand
Sometimes bliss
Lost in perception
Forgotten memories

Going, Growing, Gone

My mind never stops running....

I tend to over analyze every decision

Not sure if it's fear...or the fact that everything I do needs good reasoning.

Talk about taking chances, when you never let your self take them.

I've been putting myself up in the pedestal, no one else

Disappointment is not an option sometimes, but seems to always be my case

The puzzles are starting to fall into place.

It really is strange how things happen....
You receive the thing you want most when you least expect it to.
Timing is everything
Obstacles are always there for you to fight
What you put in, is really what you get out...

Never let others live your life, lesson learned, moments lived.

Never let others live for you
Live by your own dreams
Regrets, mistakes are lesson learned...

Turning the shabby into CHIC.

It is sad that I adore old/used furniture? That I feel chipped windows gives a home character?

I used to love love love modern design and homes, but as my obsession developed through European films, I grew to love the shabby chateau...
Not to mention gold accents on everything! =)

How does the world at you?

More importantly,

how do you look at the world?

Perception is really reality.

A new day, a new year

I can't believe another year passed and I'm still stuck in a rut.

Bad habits that need to be broken
Goals that have yet to be accomplished
Dreams that are still dreams...

Inspiration from a significant loss

I just finished watching Becoming Jane, and saw how inspiration formed through a loss of a love.

The story reveals how Jane Austen's past may have reflected onto her books. After watching the film, and reading her on Wikipedia, I came to see how lonely she must have been. Having to give up the love of her life for the sake of their family, life, and society. While to only live a life
alone, dedicated to her writings.

Modern society may not have changed since Jane's time, and people still base their relationships on backgrounds, wealth, family, and society...

Looking for that perfect sequin dress...

It must be the season that is making me on the constant lookout for a dress that sparkles.

Why some things are always overlooked...

Distraction kills reality.

I found this to be true in my most recent shortcomings.
Some things are never realized until you actually let yourself see it.

Catching a fallen Dream

Sometimes you are so much caught in moments that you forget your true dreams. There is so much going on, the pressure, the ideal, and the people that are relying on you. You end up losing yourself in whirl wind of it all.

Trying to get back on track catching your dreams is something worth stopping for.

Speaking of Carousels...

A carousel disguised as a runway?!

I saw these gorgeous photos spinning around We♥it.com, and just fell in love. The soft dresses, delicate make, the whole essence was so whimsical. According to Be.com and Google Translator, this fashion show was a collaboration of Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton, for Spring/Summer 2012. After reading about the show, I researched and actually found a video of the Show, and oh my was it magical.

Watch the Video, I promise you won't regret it!

Vintage Romance; Red lips, Carousel, flowers

In a moment of finding bliss....
I love carousels, especially old vintage rusty ones that barely run.
The last photo reminds me of "The Secret Garden."

It's not quite fall, but I'm ready for Spring

I just bought my first DVF dress, and I must say I am in love with the fit and colors. With that I stumbled upon DVF 2012 Spring Resort Collection, and now I am just estatic for Spring to come. The colors are bold, with not your typical spring patterns. The collection almost screams summer, but the tailored jackets/pants keep you in sight of Spring trends. Patterns on top patterns who knew it right? For some the orange dress reminds me of the flight attendants in the 1960s.

These are a few of my favorite pieces from this collection.

In love with ruffles and Chiffon

It must really be because it is seen in every store right now. From Nordstroms, Macy's, to Neiman's. Ruffels and Chiffon have consumed most of these stores. Maybe it is just the trend that's making me go gaga for this combination, but I love the look of romance that it brings. Especially this Vera Wang dress below. Kim Kardashian wore one that is very similar for her wedding, but I love the idea of color for a wedding dress.

Job Hunting; Your aspirations vs. Your competition

I believe to have only known a few people who to seem to genuinely love their job. I for one am still trying to find my happiness in my job. Finding a job isn't easy in the first place, and it's even harder when you live in Hawaii. There are two main components that make up Hawaii's economy, that's tourism and retail. Given that the state is condensed with 1.3 million people that are all competing for the same job, the same dreams, the same aspirations.
It's hard to hold your head above water, when you see people struggling for the same things you aspire to be.

3. The 1st city you fell in love with.

4. Your first dog

5. The smell of his cologne that take you back to that very memory of you two together.

6. The part in Breakfast at Tiffany's when you know that Holly and "Fred" are meant for each other.
