I just finished watching Becoming Jane, and saw how inspiration formed through a loss of a love.

The story reveals how Jane Austen's past may have reflected onto her books. After watching the film, and reading her on Wikipedia, I came to see how lonely she must have been. Having to give up the love of her life for the sake of their family, life, and society. While to only live a life

alone, dedicated to her writings.

Modern society may not have changed since Jane's time, and people still base their relationships on backgrounds, wealth, family, and society...

A carousel disguised as a runway?!

I saw these gorgeous photos spinning around We♥it.com, and just fell in love. The soft dresses, delicate make, the whole essence was so whimsical. According to Be.com and Google Translator, this fashion show was a collaboration of Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton, for Spring/Summer 2012. After reading about the show, I researched and actually found a video of the Show, and oh my was it magical.

I just bought my first DVF dress, and I must say I am in love with the fit and colors. With that I stumbled upon DVF 2012 Spring Resort Collection, and now I am just estatic for Spring to come. The colors are bold, with not your typical spring patterns. The collection almost screams summer, but the tailored jackets/pants keep you in sight of Spring trends. Patterns on top patterns who knew it right? For some the orange dress reminds me of the flight attendants in the 1960s.

It must really be because it is seen in every store right now. From Nordstroms, Macy's, to Neiman's. Ruffels and Chiffon have consumed most of these stores. Maybe it is just the trend that's making me go gaga for this combination, but I love the look of romance that it brings. Especially this Vera Wang dress below. Kim Kardashian wore one that is very similar for her wedding, but I love the idea of color for a wedding dress.

Job Hunting; Your aspirations vs. Your competition

I believe to have only known a few people who to seem to genuinely love their job. I for one am still trying to find my happiness in my job. Finding a job isn't easy in the first place, and it's even harder when you live in Hawaii. There are two main components that make up Hawaii's economy, that's tourism and retail. Given that the state is condensed with 1.3 million people that are all competing for the same job, the same dreams, the same aspirations.

It's hard to hold your head above water, when you see people struggling for the same things you aspire to be.

Finding Little Italy in America.

I always day dream of what my feature home would look like. I imagine a shabby chi feel, with a twist on geometric shapes of architecture.

I know that this probably sounds odd, but the feeling is always there when I see pictures, or places that remind me of Europe. I love colors and shapes that reflect distinctive designs, and when I wen to San Francisco for the first time last October, I fell in love.

The buildings, and history behind them all made me feel that I was in another world. I love how the city kept its roots, holding on all the old buildings, buses, and Italian style houses. I love the fact that the streets are straight, but slanted enough that you appreciate the steps.

Its funny how catching a bad case of bronchitis can somehow change your outlook on life.

Geez, if over dosing on Airborne, and Powerade can do this, someone should definitely put a patent, and send it to FDA for further testing.

This is obviously, not a good start of the week... I've gotten sick since Saturday night, forced myself to go to work on Sunday morning(not the best idea), come Labor Monday to find out that no Doctors work(obviously). No Doctors=no medication, hence no medication= Airborne+Powerade+water+peaches(only fruit in my house)+Advil= still sick, but just bearable to finally to stay awake for longer than an hour. Not to mention on Sunday I actually fell a sleep for two hours in my CAR! In the parking lot...yes my complex parking lot, that's how weak and tired I was, that I couldn't even get out of my car to go up the elevator. I guess its a good thing that I'm off till Tuesday, but that only means I wasted my time off recovering...

So here it is mindless ramblings of a girl high off of Airborne and Powerade, hope everyone else in the world enjoyed their Labor day weekend...

Beyonce's new video,"Run this World (girls)," showcased a fashion show in a dessert war zone. I loved everything she wore in the video, but most of all I adore her Gareth Pugh Starship Enterprise boots. I think any girl could run the world in those boots! Look at the fierceness gleaming through!

Her outfits in the video range from Alexander McQueen, to pucci, and Sugio Rossi to name a few.

I always assumed that finding a job after college would be the hard part. In actuality, the hard part is deciding what to your interests are. It took me 5 years to realize that I want to something in journalism, and editing. Now I’ll be walking in commencement in two days, still not satisfied with what I’ve accomplished. A college degree is an asset according to society, but really its only what you make of it. I never wanted regrets from about my academic career, but I am now seeing what I could have accomplished. Oh well, there’s always grad school I suppose.

Other than that I believe it’s time to start planning my trip, now where shall I go…

Two more weeks till graduation, and I am finally at a break from everything! This free time of mine will now consists of shopping, beaches, running, blogging =), and did I already say shopping? If only it was that simple. With that note, I am really regretting now studying abroad this semester, I could have been in London during The Royal Wedding! (Kicking myself right now). 6 more weeks till the start of a new beginning! I graduate, and still I have yet to find a decent job. Therefore, I have decided to take a month of from to travel, and figure out my life, myself, and my future. Now its about finding the funds to pay for this crazy idea, and hoping that my school loans will just disappear! ;) It's hard to be selfish when you feel that you aren't quite in a situation to be selfish. I never thought of College graduation to be bitter sweet, I almost not want to graduate yet. I feel so stuck in a bubble of mindlessness that I don't believe that I'm ready for this. I used reasons to opt out of things because of college, now I can't carry that excuse around. I feel at a stand still. Hopefully this thought is just temporary, and in the meantime I am dreaming of a sweet long summer filled with travels.

This is my last semester in college, and I feel that I have learn so much in this semester. More than all past semesters combined. I am fortunate enough to be taken courses from Professors that want to make an impact in our world, and society. The issues that were brought to my concern recently is everything, from the environment, animal rights, social changes, and international conflicts. I feel now, in this current time, individuals have so much promise, so much power to change the world we live in. Most people don't realize this empowerment, and I didn't also. I know now that actions speak louder than words, but I believe if words are strong enough, that it will make a deep impact on its own. Living in a world of materialism, and with an abundance of food, I have never wondered really about where everything comes from. Its so hard to change our everyday lives, when we've been eating, buying, and living in this routine for quite some time. I am slowly trying to change the way I eat, and live. I have been leading towards a route of becoming a vegetarian, and I didn't eat meat for a month. I am so proud of myself to actual have the discipline to stop eating meat. Now that I haven't eaten it, I never crave it. By educating myself on the products that I consume, I feel that I am making better choices. We take for granted what we have in society, and if we are able to stop for a moment and think about the possibly that all these things might disappear one day, people will realize that we have choice to change our present, and future as well.

I've always loved animals especially dogs ever since I was little. Given my current situation living in a place that doesn't allow dogs, has made me borrow time with my sister's two Pomeranian-mixes. I love them to death, and when my sister went away to Canada this past Christmas break I was put on dog duty. This is my second time on dog sitting, and as much as I hate the cleaning, the two fluff balls make up for it. The white dog with brown spots is Jacob( Yes my sister named him after the character on the Twilight series). The other dog with blonde/beige fur is Hokulani, aka Hoku(Hoku=Star in Hawaiian). They have such distinct personalities, that I find myself always watching what they'll do next.

I am in a current phase of crochet & lots of layers; from blouses, vest, to cardigans I can't get enough of it! Anything that looks like a grandmother knitted I love! My boyfriend is not at fan of this at all. I've been contemplating purchasing this Free people blouse for awhile, but luckily I was able to find a lovely substitute at Forever21. This was actually the first time that I've order something at Forever21.com, and I must say that that I am really surprised on how fast the shipping was. It came within 4 days, and being in Hawaii that was relatively fast. Next substitute that I'm keeping my eyes out for is for this perfect wool hat from Freepeople.com. It's so hard not to shop when there are so many pretty things to choose from. Working in retail is also not helping me either...=p

When I think of internships, I think about the movie: The Devil Wears Prada. I don't know exactly why, but that it the first image that comes into my mind. I don't think its a bad image, especially with Anne Hathaway dripping in Chanel. My gosh who wouldn't bleed in a job for Chanel?!

Again this company is quite known in it's industry and worldwide.... So I know I'm in good company.

I am loving the lace and military trend this season...All now I need are some combat boots, lace leggings, and a green over-sized arm jacket. Of which I think I may trade for a Balenciaga leather jacket in Khaki.

-July'10 went to Tokyo Japan, spent money like water literally.

-Oct'10 bought my first Balenciaga!!!!!( will post pictures soon, no working camera at the moment) *Checked one item off my wishlist!!!!* She is a 2010 Balenciaga Blue Roi with RGGH!

-Dec' 10 Geico car insurance is due+ Christmas!
