This is my last semester in college, and I feel that I have learn so much in this semester. More than all past semesters combined. I am fortunate enough to be taken courses from Professors that want to make an impact in our world, and society. The issues that were brought to my concern recently is everything, from the environment, animal rights, social changes, and international conflicts. I feel now, in this current time, individuals have so much promise, so much power to change the world we live in. Most people don't realize this empowerment, and I didn't also. I know now that actions speak louder than words, but I believe if words are strong enough, that it will make a deep impact on its own. Living in a world of materialism, and with an abundance of food, I have never wondered really about where everything comes from. Its so hard to change our everyday lives, when we've been eating, buying, and living in this routine for quite some time. I am slowly trying to change the way I eat, and live. I have been leading towards a route of becoming a vegetarian, and I didn't eat meat for a month. I am so proud of myself to actual have the discipline to stop eating meat. Now that I haven't eaten it, I never crave it. By educating myself on the products that I consume, I feel that I am making better choices. We take for granted what we have in society, and if we are able to stop for a moment and think about the possibly that all these things might disappear one day, people will realize that we have choice to change our present, and future as well.
